Dreadful sind eine Rock’n’Roll-Band aus dem Muotathal im Kanton Schwyz. Gegründet 2009 und bis heute fast in Originalbesetzung unterwegs: Andy Schelbert (Vocals), Dario Gwerder (Gitarre), Jonas Marty (Gitarre), Theo Schmidig (Bass) und Marcel Gwerder (Drums).

Der Sound ist roh und direkt – hart groovender Rock’n’Roll, trockene Blues-Riffs und Gitarren, die mehr Staub fressen als Hochglanz polieren. Keine Spielereien, dafür Druck.

In den letzten Jahren sind vier Studioalben und ein Live-Album entstanden, dazu eine Menge Shows quer durch die Schweiz. Dreadful haben sich ihre Crowd erspielt – Club für Club, Bühne für Bühne. Die Songs laufen nicht nur zuhause, sondern auch in internationalen Radios.

Live mischt die Band eigenes Material mit selten gespielten Perlen aus der Rockgeschichte. Das hat sie bereits auf Bühnen wie dem Openair Eschenbach oder dem Brienzersee Rockfestival gebracht – unter anderem als Support für Acts wie Krokus, Storace, Rhino Bucket, The Bones oder Kickin’ Valentina.

Dreadful are a rock’n’roll band from Muotathal, Switzerland. Formed in 2009 and still rolling almost entirely with the original lineup: Andy Schelbert (vocals), Dario Gwerder (guitar), Jonas Marty (guitar), Theo Schmidig (bass) and Marcel Gwerder (drums).

Their sound is raw and straight to the point – hard-grooving rock’n’roll, dirty blues riffs and guitars that go for grit instead of polish. No frills, just pressure.

Over the years, the band has released four studio albums and one live album, and played countless shows all across Switzerland. Dreadful built their crowd the old-school way – club by club, stage by stage. Their songs don’t just get airplay at home, but also on international radio stations.

Live, the band blends their own material with rarely played gems from rock history. This has taken them to stages like Openair Eschenbach and Brienzersee Rockfestival, supporting acts such as Krokus, Storace, Rhino Bucket, The Bones and Kickin’ Valentina.
